Apple's "Pro and Tell" product experience will take place on Wednesday, October 28, in Los Angeles at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, according to reports from MacRumors and Digital Trends. Greg Joswiak, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, teased the event on October 19 with a post that read, “Can’t wait to pro and tell next week.” Apple has not confirmed the full lineup, and official pages reviewed so far do not name the event itself.
The most prominent rumor is a new MacBook Pro with an OLED screen and touch support. Digital Trends reports the machine may be thinner and lighter, with a pill-shaped cutout replacing the notch and M6 Pro or M6 Max silicon inside. MacRumors, however, says the high-end OLED models will keep the current M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, with Apple reportedly skipping the M6 Pro and M6 Max; it adds that the touchscreen will be supplementary to the trackpad and keyboard, and the hinge will be reinforced. Shattered notes that no confirmed price, battery figure, memory options, or ship date exists for this laptop. Reports disagree on the chip, with Digital Trends pointing to M6-series and MacRumors pointing to M5-series.
The entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro and the 24-inch iMac are both expected to move to an M6 chip. MacRumors says the entry-level MacBook Pro will replace its M5 chip with an M6, and the iMac will get an M6 without external changes. Digital Trends likewise reports that both machines will run M6-series chips.
An updated iPad mini is also on the rumored list. Reports say it will get an OLED display, the first iPad outside the iPad Pro to do so, along with an A20 Pro chip and a front camera moved from portrait to horizontal. MacRumors adds that the iPad mini 8 may use a vibration-based speaker setup that removes speaker holes, possibly gaining an IP rating, and that the new model could cost around $200 more than the current $599 price. Shattered describes the iPad mini entry as the most detailed rumor, but notes that no chip, price, or release date has been confirmed.
If the launch follows Apple’s recent pattern, pre-orders could begin on October 28 and devices could ship as soon as November 6, according to MacRumors. Buyers considering an iMac, 14-inch MacBook Pro, or iPad mini might wait a week until details are official, but nothing confirmed says those products will definitely arrive that day.
Several products already announced will not be part of the October 28 event. Apple announced HomePod mini 2, Apple TV 4K, Apple Home Collection, and HomeView on October 13. iPhone Duo opened pre-orders on October 16, and iPhone 18 Pro appeared in an October 20 announcement about American manufacturing partners, not as a launch that day.
Update, October 22, 2026
Appleosophy reports that the iPhone Duo launches October 23, starting four consecutive weeks of at least one Apple product release each Friday. The foldable has a 5.4-inch outer display, a 7.6-inch folding display, an A20 Pro chip, a titanium body and a $1,999 starting price; pre-orders have slipped into January 2027. HomePod mini 2 follows on October 30 for $149 in white, pink, blue, green and midnight, with an S10 chip and Siri AI. The November 6 group includes the M6 iMac, M6 MacBook Pro, OLED iPad mini and OLED MacBook Pro with touchscreen, according to the report; the higher-end MacBook Pro is expected to use M5 Pro or M5 Max chips and tandem OLED, while the iPad mini is expected to add an A20 Pro chip and a more water-resistant design. Apple TV 4K and HomeView launch November 13 at $299 each; the Apple TV 4K adds far-field microphones, Siri AI, an A19 chip and surround sound with four HomePods.
Update, October 26, 2026
Apple has officially introduced the new iPad mini, 9to5Mac reported on Monday. The tablet has an A20 Pro chip, an OLED display, a thinner body and a larger screen, according to the report. Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, posted on X: "It's going to be an exciting week, and it starts with our all-new iPad mini." The report said Apple is expected to announce more products before its October 28 "Pro and tell" event, with Mark Gurman indicating on X that M6 versions of the iMac and MacBook Pro would likely be announced the next day, and a touchscreen MacBook Pro redesign would follow on Wednesday.
