Apple is adding an AI assistant to Pages, Keynote, and Numbers. The assistant uses AI models from Apple and OpenAI, according to Apple, and it can understand the context of the document a user has open. The update is part of a larger refresh of Apple's Creator Studio suite.

In Keynote, the assistant can design, animate, and refine slides. In Pages, it can draft new text, restructure existing passages, and adjust wording. In Numbers, it can calculate, visualize, and organize data, and it can suggest chart types and build custom tables.

Apple says the assistant is available in beta on devices that support Apple Intelligence and run iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27 or later.

Apple also said that support for the Model Context Protocol is now built into Keynote, Pages, and Numbers on macOS 27 or later. That support lets third-party AI agents connect to and work inside the apps.

Pixelmator Pro is adding Generate Fill, a feature that edits a portion of an image after the user describes the change they want. Apple said the tool "automatically matches the lighting, perspective, and texture of the surrounding environment so edits blend in." Logic Pro on Mac and iPad will receive a Liquid Glass redesign and an AI assistant. Apple said the Logic assistant can "set up a vocal track from a single prompt" and edit existing projects. The Mac version's Browser now automatically analyzes, classifies, and tags added sounds with on-device AI.

Final Cut Pro will add templates, graphics, titles, and transitions directly through MotionVFX. Apple is also building a Content Hub into Final Cut Pro; it will offer stock video, photo, and background assets.

Apple said existing subscribers will get the Creator Studio updates at no extra cost in November.
