As of October 28, Motorola India has a dedicated Signature 27 page on its website that says the phone is "coming this November". The page confirms the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia main camera, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with Super Zoom Pro, and Audio by Bang & Olufsen. Motorola has not yet given Indian pricing or a full camera list.

Motorola first revealed the Signature 27 on September 23 at Qualcomm's Snapdragon Summit. NDTV Profit reported that it is the second phone in the Signature line and the first smartphone announced with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 Mobile Platform. The early details included a 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA 910 main sensor, a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, AI colour adjustment while recording, and Qualcomm stabilisation paired with 3.5-degree hardware optical image stabilisation. Motorola also described a new ArcticMesh cooling system with diamond-infused thermal gel, liquid metal, copper mesh and a 3D vapour chamber that is 40 per cent larger than the previous version.

TelecomTalk, covering the same September 23 event, called the processor the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and said it was built on a 2nm process. That report added a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, Android 17, Google Gemini AI features, and seven years of OS and security updates. TelecomTalk also said the phone would go on sale by the end of 2026 but that India availability was not confirmed at that time.

On September 25, MakeUseOf reported that the Signature 27 will reach the US before the end of this year, and that Motorola has opened a registration page for updates. The report highlighted a six-antenna layout using the same 6Rx technology as the Razr Fold, four rear sensors and a flash, and seven years of Android OS support. MakeUseOf also wrote that GrapheneOS confirmed the Signature 27 would support its system, the first non-Pixel phone to do so, though details of pre-installed GrapheneOS models were not finalised.

At India Mobile Congress 2026, Firstpost reported on October 9 that smartphone makers iQOO, Motorola and Xiaomi confirmed their upcoming flagship devices would be among the first to use Qualcomm's new Extreme chipset. Firstpost described the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 as having a custom Oryon CPU with prime cores up to 5.01GHz, an Adreno GPU with a claimed 44 per cent graphics performance boost, and support for LPDDR5X or LPDDR6 memory and UFS 5.0 storage.

On October 28, The Tech Outlook reported that Motorola India's microsite had gone live and confirmed the chipset, diamond-infused thermal gel, a new 3D vapour chamber, the 50-megapixel Sony LYTIA camera, and Bang & Olufsen sound modes for music, movies, gaming and podcasts. The same day, GSMArena wrote that the page says the phone is coming this November and lists Super Zoom Pro, which reaches up to 100x using generative AI. GSMArena also noted that the rest of the camera setup and Indian pricing have not been detailed.

What is still missing includes battery capacity, charging speed, display specifications, RAM, storage, pricing, an exact global release date and an India sale date beyond November. A tipster claim cited by The Tech Outlook placed the India starting price around Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000, but that is unconfirmed.
